Definition: two people with a similar attribute paired together. (example: Liu Lifei and Liu Qianqian together are known as “wLiu”)

Notes: 双 (shuāng) = double, pair, two of. from “w” as in “double u”.

Definition: misspelled “viper viper” lyrics from In the Dark, a SNH48 song

Notes: 歪 ber (wāi ber) and “wiper” sound like “viper”

waiwu, foreign affairs (外务)

Definition: external schedule (non-SNH48 activities, such as filming and interviews)

Notes: 外务 (wàiwù) = foreign affairs

wajijiwa (哇唧唧哇), wjjw, 🐸🐔🐔🐸

Definition: WAJIJIWA Entertainment (哇唧唧哇), a Chinese entertainment company

Definition: Internet celebrity, influencer, someone who became famous via the Internet

Definition: Wang Jing (王靖), the chairman of Siba Media and Wang Zijie’s sister

Definition: sexually explicit material

Definition: women that create sexual content while wearing cosplay

Definition: someone who has an innocent appearance but is secretly evil

Definition: ingrate, ungrateful person

wind review (风评)

Definition: rumor, gossip (usually about someone’s reputation)

Notes: 风评 (fēng píng) = wind review

wind review victimization (风评被害)

Definition: to suffer reputational damage as a result of rumors

Notes: from the Japanese 風評被害 (fuuhyou higai) = reputation damage caused by rumors

winter (冬天)

Definition: SNH48 Group’s Best 50 concert, the Best 50 voting period

Notes: 冬天 (dōngtiān) = winter

winter is coming (冬天快到了)

Definition: “Best 50 season is soon approaching”

Notes: 冬天快到了 (dōngtiān kuài dàole) = winter is coming

Definition: two idols’ respective sets of solo fans, usually due to a fight between them. often specifically refers to Shen Mengyao fans and Yuan Yiqi fans

Definition: WTF, what the fuck

Notes: 臥槽 (wò cáo) = “what the fuck”. also 卧槽

Definition: blockhead, someone who acts dull or dense

Definition: synchronized dancing and cheering performed by otaku (usually with light sticks)

Notes: 歪屁股 (wāi pìgu) = crooked butt (a CP fan whose center of gravity is off)
